About Me
Welcome. I'm so glad you found me!
I'm a private lactation consultant (IBCLC, CLSP, MA, BASc), serving on the executive board of the Halton Baby-Friendly Initiative (HBFI), and I support families in Oakville and the surrounding area - in person, in clinic, and virtually. My approach is warm, judgment-free, and actually evidence-based.
A Lactation Consultant made by care work
Before lactation consulting, I spent three years in midwifery school, which gave me a holistic view of birth and postpartum care and the chance to work alongside a range of healthcare providers. Earlier still, I worked at a university teaching Geography courses - an unlikely stop, but one that sharpened the communication skills and social awareness that I use with every family I support today.
Why families work with me
As a mother of two, I've lived the early feeding struggle myself, including the incessant wondering if you're doing things right. That's why I show up for my clients the way I wish someone had shown up for me: practical, empathetic, and honest.
Whatever your feeding journey looks like - breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, or something else entirely - I honour your family's traditions, beliefs, and choices, and help you find what actually works for you and your baby. I'll never push you one way or another.
